Control First Speed Later

Hi — Gem here.

This week we are putting control before speed.

When a movement is rushed, the body often compensates with tension. When a movement is controlled, the body learns trust. That trust becomes balance, rhythm, and ease over time.

Simple Daily Tai Chi Practice (10 Minutes)

Day 1 — Focus: Control
Keep every motion deliberate and measured.

Day 2 — Focus: Stability
Feel your base before moving your arms.

Day 3 — Focus: Breath
Match the pace of the movement to your breath.

Day 4 — Focus: Precision
Notice the start and finish of each motion.

Day 5 — Focus: Softness
Reduce tension while keeping structure.

Day 6 — Focus: Balance
Move carefully through each shift of weight.

Day 7 — Focus: Confidence
Let steadiness replace urgency.

Control makes room for confidence. Speed can come later.
